Initially based in Milan, the position will transition to a rotational role at the Afungi site as construction progresses.Working closely with project management, contractors, and multiple stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring commissioning activities are effectively planned, integrated, and delivered in line with overall project objectives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain commissioning schedules in coordination with package plannersMonitor progress, perform variance analysis, and provide regular forecast updatesEstablish and manage project schedule coding structures based on systems and subsystemsEnsure alignment with project, corporate, and stakeholder reporting requirementsReview contractor and subcontractor pre-commissioning and commissioning schedulesChallenge assumptions relating to durations, sequencing, and critical pathDevelop independent schedules to validate contractor plansIntegrate commissioning activities with startup, upstream, and interface scopesCoordinate with yard and site teams to ensure schedule alignment across all project phasesPrepare and communicate progress reports, KPIs, and performance metricsTrack schedule risks, contingency usage, and approved changesParticipate in project meetings and support digitalisation initiativesEnsure compliance with project procedures for approvals, invoicing, and reportingPromote and demonstrate strong HSSE leadership and adherence to company policiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or similar10+ years’ experience in project controls within major oil & gas developmentsStrong experience in commissioning and start-up planning for large-scale oil & gas or LNG projectsProven ability to manage complex project schedules and interfaces across multiple stakeholdersExperience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules and integrating multi-package plansStrong understanding of project reporting, KPI tracking, and risk analysisProficient in planning tools including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Microsoft Project, Milestones Pro, Thinkcell, and ExcelFamiliarity with corporate and project procedures within major operatorsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsDetail-oriented, organised, and able to work within multicultural, international environmentsFluent English required; Portuguese and/or French advantageousThe next stepWe have an exceptional team in place and are looking to strengthen our in‑country capability. xdwybme We are aware that you may not ‘tick all the boxes’, but if you believe you can offer valuable skills and local expertise, please in the first instance contact our recruitment partner Airswift.
