Offer Description
The research activity will involve the development of computational methods to investigate particle and radiation transport and the measurement of radiation fields produced by particle accelerators (e.g., in hadrontherapy) by using Monte Carlo methods for particle and radiation transport and fluid dynamic approaches for contaminant transport (e.g., CFD methods), both under normal and emergency operating conditions. Experimental activity may also include the use, characterization, modification, and engineering of measurement instrumentation for verification of simulation results. Employment contract with full social security:

Master's degree or equivalent qualification obtained no more than six years ago on the deadline date of the call for applications; A CV suitable for supporting the research activities relevant to the position. Other relevant qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Physics obtained no more than six years ago on the deadline date of the call for applications; master’s degrees, advanced training courses, schools in the field of nuclear engineering, radiation protection and safety, in the field of particle accelerators and hadrontherapy; laboratory experience, project participation, specialized skills in nuclear engineering, radiation protection and safety, particle accelerators, hadrontherapy; conference participation in the field of nuclear engineering, radiation protection and safety, particle accelerators, hadrontherapy. Thesis and scientific publications in the field of nuclear engineering, radiation protection and safety, particle accelerator. Hadrontherapy. English language.
