Vodafone Automotive is seeking a Consolidation & Group Reporting Specialist to manage the preparation of monthly reporting packages and annual statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS/IAS accounting standards.
The role is key to enhancing Finance Operations procedures and processes in line with Vodafone Group Accounting Policies across all Vodafone Automotive legal entities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the financial statements of various subsidiaries, preparing monthly consolidated financial statements, reconciling intercompany transactions, and implementing finance processes required by the Head Office.
Additionally, the role includes preparing all necessary documentation for the certification process with Vodafone Group and ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of compliance with internal controls.
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:
- Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures, in line with Group Accounting Policy.
- Prepare financial statements, particularly for entities where accounting is managed by an external provider.
- Support the month-end, half-year, and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with IAS/IFRS principles.
Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience :
- In-depth knowledge of periodic consolidation processes and the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Solid understanding of IAS/IFRS accounting principles.
- Proven experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
- Strong commitment and willingness to travel when required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively across different hierarchical levels within the organization.
Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:
- Degree in Economics.
- Proficiency in business English.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in a similar role (managing consolidated financial statements) within a multinational company, or relevant experience in an audit firm or in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Navision, Qlik, and HFM.
