Construction Manager - Railways

We are looking for a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team for the Milan Metro Line Extension, one of the most significant urban rail infrastructure projects currently under development in Europe.
This role will lead the on-site execution of railway systems works, including Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS), Signalling and Telecommunications, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery in a fast-paced international project environment.
- Lead and supervise construction activities on site related to catenary, signalling and telecom systems.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with technical specifications, project schedule, safety standards and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Act as the key interface with the client, project management and local stakeholders during construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress, technical challenges and risks, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
- Guarantee compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to planning, reporting and site coordination, including progress meetings and project reporting.
What are we looking for:
- ✔ Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Telecommunications or similar).
- ✔ Proven experience as Construction Manager / Site Manager in railway infrastructure projects.
- ✔ Strong expertise in at least one railway systems discipline such as:
- Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS / OCL)
- ✔ Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and multidisciplinary works.
- ✔ Ability to operate effectively in complex infrastructure projects and demanding schedules.
- ✔ Professional English required (international project environment).
