Construction Specialist

Overview

Living Quarters (LQ) Construction Superintendent Duration: ASAP – December 2026 Location: Italy.

The role: You will take ownership of all construction and integration activities relating to Living Quarters, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day construction activities for the LQ module at yard or site.
• Supervising multidisciplinary teams across civil, architectural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and telecoms.
• Overseeing fit‑out, finishes, furnishings, insulation, and architectural elements.
• Coordinating installation of critical systems including HVAC, firefighting, PA/GA, lighting, and lifesaving equipment.
• Working closely with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitoring progress, participating in coordination meetings, and resolving site issues.
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., NORSOK, SOLAS, IMO, ABS, DNV).
• Enforcing HSE requirements including PTW, confined space, scaffolding, and hot work controls.
• Supporting mechanical completion, punch listing, pre‑commissioning, and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) with 8+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong background in offshore Living Quarters or similar facilities.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction scopes.
• Good understanding of offshore habitability, fire safety, and escape systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
• Confident communicator with solid reporting ability.
