Job Overview
The Gas Technology Equipment business provides industry‑leading products and services that optimize the extraction, production and processing of energy. As a GTE Project Contract Manager you will create positive impacts to the business, setting a strategic vision, executing to plan and streamlining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing project contracts, identifying, tracking and reporting all concerned contractual aspects from award to commercial operation date.
- Performing contract summaries, transferring contractual documents and raising awareness of residual commercial risks to the project team.
- Identifying contractual provisions to be transferred to vendors, subcontractors and partners.
- Ensuring the project team properly archives contractual documentation and key correspondence.
- Supporting the project team to formalise contract variations when risks or opportunities impact costs.
- Assisting PM/PD and other project team members in handling contractually relevant matters and drafting key correspondence.
- Supporting resolution of contractual disputes or claims, avoiding legal escalation and unlocking payments and unbilled milestones, including settlement agreements.
- Maintaining the project claims tracker and releasing contract‑management metrics/KPIs.
- Monitoring overall financial exposure of projects in terms of outstanding payments, unbilled amounts and bank guarantees.
- Assisting PD in preparing claim negotiations up to final settlement and coordinating with legal to secure favorable settlements.
- Informing the contract‑management leader and legal department promptly when disputes may lead to litigation.
- Supporting the contract‑management leader and legal department in managing litigation proceedings.
- Identifying, tracking and reporting contractual lessons learned to the commercial department.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Law with a technical background in Oil & Gas or Energy products.
- Analytical skills in contractual clauses and knowledge of contracting methods, contract forms and drafting terms.
- Experience in early dispute resolution and claims negotiation with strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
- Good team player with strong communication skills; fluent English (spoken and written).
- Excellent organisational and project‑management skills in a global‑matrix environment.
- Ability to work with remote teams and deliver while managing many diverse tasks.
