  • About the Role
  • We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Contracts & Wording team. The role requires experience in people management, leadership, and legal and general insurance matters. The role can be based in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hoofddorp, Madrid, Milano, or Paris, but your work environment will be international. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various local and global projects, including digitalization and contract governance initiatives.

  • About the Team
  • We support Corporate Solutions' (re)insurance business, including international operations, in property, casualty, and special lines such as director's and officer's liability, professional indemnity, energy, engineering, and construction insurance. We collaborate with underwriters, client managers, product experts, and occasionally external clients. Our mission is to provide legally sound yet pragmatic advice for high-quality wording solutions. We actively share knowledge and engage with colleagues and other functions like Legal, Compliance, and Claims. We also contribute to digital contract transformation and governance projects.

  • About you

    • At least five years' experience in underwriting, broking, claims, or legal, compliance, or contracts roles
    • Good knowledge of insurance products and industry practices
    • You must also:
    • Be an open-minded self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently and proactively, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working flexibly and independently
    • Have strong communication skills
    • Be a team player with credibility and a working style that fosters positive relationships, virtual team leadership, and an open feedback culture
    • Work effectively under time pressure, navigate ambiguity, and handle competing priorities
    • Promote community and collaboration across countries and regions
    • Enjoy working in closely-knit teams across EMEA and globally, collaborating with colleagues and supporting internal clients in various jurisdictions
    • Willing to travel
    • Possess an innovative, pragmatic, and results-oriented attitude; strong writing and analytical skills; attention to detail; and excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and project management skills
