Controlling Manager

Your tasks

The mission of the position is to plan, coordinate, and monitor all controlling activities to meet budget and controlling targets (e.g., cost transparency and optimization, budgeting, reporting, etc.). Furthermore, the Controlling Manager initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all relevant processes. The role responsibilities include two legal entities: Continental Brakes Italy S.p.A. (Cairo Montenotte) and Continental Automotive Italy S.p.A. (Torino).

General Management and Strategy

• Manage and coordinate all controlling activities for the plant
• Translate plant controlling strategy into action plans and ensure implementation
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g., investments, capacity, and headcount planning)
• Ensure the achievement of controlling targets according to internal and external customer expectations
• Support economic evaluations of improvement projects and set targets for results enhancement

Initiate and control investments for controlling equipment

• Interface with segment, BU, or BA functions to gather local controlling requirements and feedback
• Monitor and implement plant internal controls in conjunction with corporate policies to ensure report integrity and risk identification
• Define sign-off authority
• Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development, and coaching

Financial Management

• Prepare, review, and manage the budget and strategic plan, including defining improvement and growth actions, translating into numerical objectives and standard costing for Continental Brakes Italy
• Forecast preparations, variance analysis, and communication of mitigation actions
• Manage controlling costs for Continental Automotive Italy
• Implement and conduct activities according to the established budget
• Ensure financial goals are met

Project Management

• Develop and implement action plans to meet operational targets, strategic goals, and customer/market requirements

Finance and Controlling

• Ensure controlling activities comply with standards for both entities
• Prepare SAP budget structures and assessments
• Ensure investment controlling according to standards, including financial analysis for investments and management of plant investment budget
• Monitor performance against standards and analyze variations

Reporting

• Support monthly closing and reporting for both entities
• Prepare standard reports for plant and central management
• Review monthly results and prepare forecasts

KPIs and Plant Performance

• Supervise plant key performance data and business processes
• Implement KPI methodology and plant scorecard tools
• Conduct regular KPI reviews

Training and Coaching

• Ensure qualified controlling staff in cooperation with HR
• Initiate and oversee continuous training, especially on digitalization and automation

Standardization

• Implement local standards aligned with central controlling standards
• Provide feedback for the development of controlling standards

Profile

• University degree in business administration, accounting, finance, controlling, or related discipline
• 5+ years in finance and controlling, with cross-functional experience preferred
• Initial experience in automotive and manufacturing production processes
• 3+ years in leadership roles with operational and disciplinary responsibilities
• Experience working with international teams and understanding of cultural differences
• Proficient in at least two languages, with English mandatory
