Core Network Engineer

DIGI Italy, a leading multinational telecommunications company operating in five European countries, is looking for a Core Network Engineer to join its growing team.You will contribute to the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the mobile core network, supporting both customer-facing services and internal network activities to ensure service quality, reliability, and performance.Key Responsibilities:Ticket ManagementTroubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to voice and data services reported through Customer Care and Call Center channels.Perform root-cause analysis and ensure timely issue resolution in accordance with service quality standards.Network Integration & TestingExecute integration and acceptance tests to validate the correct functionality of network elements before deployment into the production network.Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues detected during testing activities.Perform interconnection testing with carriers and mobile operators to ensure the proper handling of voice and data traffic.Network Monitoring & OperationsMonitor network KPIs and performance indicators to ensure optimal network operation and service availability.Investigate network anomalies and implement corrective actions to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.Device CertificationValidate the functionality and compatibility of mobile devices, new commercial offers, and value-added services.Support testing activities related to terminal certification and service launches.SIM Provisioning & ManagementConfigure and manage tariff profiles and subscriber settings.Handle SIM lifecycle management activities, including activation, suspension, blocking/unblocking, and related operational tasks.Technical RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.Knowledge of 2G–4G Core Network architectures and elements, including HLR/HSS, VLR, MSS, SCP (OCS), and IMS.Basic understanding of GSM, UMTS, and LTE mobile network architectures.Basic knowledge of mobile network protocols, with a particular focus on Core Network technologies.Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Windows-based environments.Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.Availability for on-call duty and occasional night-time activities when required.Soft SkillsProactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.Team-oriented attitude and collaborative approach.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and continuous improvement mindset.What We OfferThe opportunity to join a fast-growing international telecommunications group.Exposure to cutting‑edge mobile network technologies and projects.A dynamic, multicultural, and collaborative working environment.Professional growth and development opportunities within an international organization.RAL: 28.000€ to 35.000€l presente annuncio è rivolto ad entrambi i sessi, ai sensi delle leggi 903/77 e 125/91, e a persone di tutte le età e tutte le nazionalità, ai sensi dei decreti legislativi 215/03 e 216/03. #J-18808-Ljbffr
