Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to help transform internet access worldwide through Amazon Leo. The role involves negotiating contracts that support our mission to provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft comprehensive contracts for commercial customers and channel partners, with a focus on mobility engagements.
- Develop innovative legal strategies that support business objectives while managing organizational risk.
- Provide counsel to business teams on complex contractual and legal considerations.
- Create scalable legal processes that enable rapid business decision‑making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support Amazon Leo's global connectivity goals.

You’ll engage with cross‑functional teams, crafting agreements that balance legal precision with business agility. From reviewing and negotiating mobility contracts to developing creative legal strategies, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding satellite connectivity.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in‑house work.

The base salary range for this position is $153,900.00 – $208,200.00 USD annually (U.S. locations: Arlington, VA and Bellevue, WA). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
