Cost Analyst | Aviation MRO | Rome Fiumicino

About the Role
- Our client is looking for a Cost Analyst to join their aviation MRO operations team in Rome.
- This role will support cost control, inventory accuracy, and financial reporting across engine maintenance, repair, and exchange operations.
- You will work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to improve cost visibility and support better business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost-per-engine and cost-per-module reports.
- Support ERP work order closeouts using Quantum.
- Analyse labour, material, repair, and maintenance costs.
- Identify cost variances, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.
- Manage inventory tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Build and maintain KPIs such as inventory turnover, cost per hour, and performance trends.
- Support data accuracy across ERP and reporting systems.
- Work with internal teams to improve financial and operational performance.
- Support system integration projects, including ERP tools and Palantir.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Experience in aviation, MRO, or technical operations is preferred.
- Good understanding of ERP systems and cost or inventory modules.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English and Italian, written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills.
- Understanding of aviation maintenance and materials processes.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul environments.
- Knowledge of engine or module costing.
- Understanding of repair versus replace analysis.
- SQL skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to international locations, including North America.
