Following an internal move, we are looking for our future Country Business Leader (CBL) for our Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit, covering Italy & Greece.

  • About Medication Delivery Solutions

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions team provides a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management. Some of our well-known brands include BD VenflonPro Safety, BD Plastipaksyringe, BD PosiFlushpre-filled saline syringe, BD PhaSealclosed drug treatment, BD Nexivaclosed IV catheter system and BD Eclipsesafety needle.

  • About the role
  • Reporting to the Italy & Greece Country General Manager - dotted line to the VP / General Manager MDS Europe, the CBL contributes to the definition of the Country business strategy. In this role, you adapt and align the regional business strategy to the country situation and take the lead in aligning and developing the tactical execution of the sales, marketing, clinical and field operational plans.

Main responsibilities will include :

  • Developing an annual business plan, including the financial and strategic objectives and resources required (P&L)
  • Crafting the BD business model and work of the team based on fact-based customer preferences, insights and needs, then acting with the customer in mind
  • Identifying and developing new local and regional business opportunities to accelerate and sustain sales growth
  • Building outstanding sales and marketing execution capabilities, carrying out successful sales performance.
  • Defining the go-to-market and distribution strategy for the region
  • Providing input and feedback to the definition of regional marketing programs and plans. Ensuring an efficient collaboration and process flow within the European marketing organization
  • Ownership of the successful execution and alignment of regional marketing programs through local sales and marketing plans (including sales training and marketing communication)
  • Developing a strong and successful clinical team; aligning activities with key priorities and needs of the local business
  • Leading a strong team, recruiting, retaining and developing talents.
  • About you

An experienced leader, you bring expertise in sales, marketing and business management in the medical devices' market, including full P&L accountability.

You show outstanding customer-centricity, as well as very strong critical thinking abilities and leadership skills. You bring a strong track record of ambitious thinking toward future possibilities, translating ideas into concrete strategies to accelerate business growth and success.

Additional requirements include :

  • Italian native speaker & proficiency in English
  • Ability and willingness to undertake significant travels locally and international trips on a regular basis
