Country Manager – Italy | Photovoltaic Structures (Tracker & Fixed Solutions)
Remote in Italy (home office) with frequent travel within Italy and occasional travel to Spain.
About the Role: We are seeking a Country Manager / Key Account Manager to lead the commercial and operational expansion of an international company specializing in photovoltaic structures (trackers and fixed solutions) for utility-scale solar projects. This position will focus on developing the Italian market, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development in the Italian photovoltaic market, identifying opportunities and building a strategic portfolio of clients (EPCs, IPPs, developers, engineering firms, and utilities).
- Drive sales and revenue targets across the product portfolio (trackers and fixed structures) and manage account collections.
- Build long-term customer relationships through personalized technical and commercial support.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and industry events to enhance market visibility.
- Collaborate with international teams (engineering, operations, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth project execution from pre-sales to after-sales.
- Supervise and coordinate project implementation in Italy, ensuring compliance with deadlines, technical standards, and client expectations.
- Analyze market trends and competitors, providing insights to strengthen market positioning and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the photovoltaic sector, ideally with trackers, fixed structures, EPCs, or solar component manufacturers.
- Proven commercial and business development experience in Italy, preferably with existing client relationships.
- Solid technical understanding of utility-scale solar projects, particularly the structural components of PV plants.
- Experience managing large MW-scale projects.
- Italian (native or bilingual) and English (C1) required; Spanish highly desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Italy and occasionally abroad.
