VALOREM Group is a French, independent green energy operator with expertise across the entire renewable energy value chain, from development to operations and maintenance, including project management support, construction, and auditing services. A pioneer of wind energy in France, the group employs over 530 people and is also active in Finland, Greece, Poland, Sweden, and Romania. VALOREM’s activities cover onshore and offshore wind, ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV, agrivoltaics, hydropower, as well as energy storage and hydrogen systems.

By joining VALOREM, you will:

  • Be responsible for developing partnerships and acquisitions to build a portfolio of renewable energy projects (wind, solar, agrivoltaics, and battery energy storage systems – BESS), as well as for assembling and leading a local team.
  • Report directly to the Head of the International Department.
  • Manage the local entity, including the team and external partners and stakeholders, with support from VALOREM’s internal departments.


The Country Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of VALOREM’s renewable energy projects within the country. This position requires strategic leadership, operational oversight, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure that projects are developed, executed, and managed to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in project management, business development, and team leadership within the renewable energy sector.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for renewable energy projects, aligned with company and group objectives.
  • Lead corporate activities and manage communication with the Management Board. Represent the company in public forums to strengthen its image and support its development strategy.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and policy changes to adapt strategies and ensure responsiveness to industry dynamics.

Project Management

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, contract management, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Lead internal and external development activities, such as land acquisition, permitting, and coordination with utilities.

Business Development

  • Drive business development through market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning.
  • Negotiate project acquisitions and partnerships, ensuring alignment with group objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and public authorities to support project success and long-term growth.


PROFILE:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the development and management of renewable energy projects in Italy, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and policy support mechanisms for utility-scale projects.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams, building strategic partnerships, and overseeing budgets, schedules, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; fluency in English is required.
