We’re looking for a visionary, hands-on CTO to drive technology and AI innovation across our portfolio of early, stage ventures. You will define the technical and AI strategy, build scalable architectures, and lead engineering team, sharing in the upside via direct equity in each project plus stock-option grants.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and evangelize a unified technical and AI roadmap that spans multiple ventures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and advise on adoption.
• Product & AI-Driven Development
• Translate business requirements into robust architectures, including data-driven and AI components (recommendation engines, natural-language interfaces, etc.).
• Oversee end-to-end delivery : from prototype and MVP through production, with CI / CD, automated testing, and scalable deployments.
• Design and implement data pipelines, feature stores, model training and serving infrastructure.
• Establish best practices for model versioning, monitoring, and continuous retraining (MLOps).
• Recruit, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams of software engineers, data engineers.
• Foster a culture of high quality, code reviews, documentation, and agile delivery.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Product, Design, and Business leads to define KPIs, evaluate AI use-cases, and set success metrics.
• Present technical and AI progress to the executive team and investors.
• Governance, Security & Ethics
• Ensure robust security, privacy, and compliance (GDPR, ISO) in both software and AI workflows.
• Champion responsible AI principles : bias mitigation, explainability, and ethical data use.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience (4+ years) :
• Proven track record building and launching web / mobile products with significant AI / ML components.
• Leadership in startups or scale-ups—ideally in a venture-studio or consultancy setting.
• Technical Expertise :
• Full-stack proficiency : Node.js / Python / Java + modern front-end (React, Vue, Angular).
• Data & AI :
• Deep knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, TFX, Kubeflow).
• Hands-on with NLP / LLMs (e.g. OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Familiarity with data engineering (Airflow, Spark, Kafka).
• Leadership & Communication :
• Able to convey complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Education :
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Equity

• Direct Equity : Founder-level equity in each venture you lead (4-year vesting).
• Stock Options : Additional options in the parent venture-builder.
