Experteer OverviewIn this role, you will lead customs operations within the automotive vertical, building a high-performing team and improving processes to boost productivity and customer satisfaction. You will ensure compliance with policies, manage resources, and coordinate with risk and compliance to handle authorities. The position emphasizes process optimization, team development, and effective incident resolution in a global logistics context. You will contribute to Maersk’s journey toward becoming the Global Integrator of Container Logistics through cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Control customs processes to ensure safe, quality, and efficient operations Supervise team per group policies and applicable laws Lead projects, resourcing, and coordination with local management Oversee workload, clarify roles, and conduct performance evaluations Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training needs Ensure optimal use of resources to meet company goals Handle escalations and resolve potential claims Coordinate with Risk & Compliance for regulatory communications Prepare and communicate information for employees under responsibility Possibility of business trips Oversee compliance and safety measures as established for the Operations Department Qualifications
Deep understanding of local market and regulations Comprehensive knowledge of the logistics landscape Experience in managing people in a complex environment (engagement, motivation, rewards) Experience in Customs is a plus Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills with high customer orientation Strong teamwork attitude Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills across organizational levels in English Benefits
