Cybersecurity Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of the cybersecurity strategy, in alignment with the University’s overall technology roadmap
- Act as point of contact with national cybersecurity authorities (ACN, CSIRT)
- Coordinate incident response activities and notification processes
- Collaborate on the design and testing of incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives across faculty, staff, researchers, and students
- Support the evaluation of ICT and security vendors
- Oversee the external 24/7 SOC and escalation processes
- Manage vulnerability detection and remediation processes across IT platforms
- Coordinate encryption, certificate lifecycle management, and related asset management
- Oversee digital signature processes
- Manage operations and maintenance of key security infrastructures (including SSO, SIEM, firewalls, EDR, PAM, MFA and vulnerability scanning tools)
- Monitor performance and produce periodic reports based on quantitative indicators
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 4–7 years of experience in cybersecurity roles with increasing responsibility
- Hands‑on experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, incident response, and digital forensics
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, in Italian and English
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence without direct authority
- Experience in multidisciplinary and complex environments
Technical Knowledge
- NIST 800, OWASP standards
- Authentication protocols (SAML2, OIDC)
- Network protocols and authentication mechanisms
- IT, cloud, and network security architectures and best practices
- Incident response and cyber resilience
Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM
