In September 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business to build two leading companies. The role you are applying for will be part of this new automotive company, offering an opportunity to shape a business tailored to the evolving global automotive market.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our Data, AI & Integration team. In this strategic IT role, you will help develop and implement our data governance framework, ensuring data quality, consistency, and alignment with business objectives across the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Governance Framework Development: Expanding and implementing the data governance framework, including AI governance and emerging areas, while defining and enforcing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Data Catalogue and Metadata Management: Leading the deployment and management of a data catalogue to improve data discoverability and overseeing metadata management to support data quality and usability.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partnering with Data Owners, Data Architects, and other stakeholders to monitor and enhance data quality, ensuring governance initiatives align with business needs through collaboration with IT and business units. Promoting data literacy via training and support.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring adherence to data standards and regulations, supporting data risk assessments, and contributing to data privacy and security initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Proficiency in data modeling, requirements management, and documentation standards.
• Experience with data governance tools supporting master and reference data management.
• Strong project and product management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Additional Information:

This position has a global scope and can be located at any of our main Automotive sites: Bangalore (India), Shanghai (China), Airasca (Italy), Cajamar (Brazil), or Gothenburg (Sweden).
