Experteer Overview

As a Data Scientist in Generali’s Advanced Analytics and Automation Solutions Unit, you will design and build AI solutions that automate discretionary processes and provide intelligent recommendations across multiple business units. You’ll contribute to a central library of analytics services and explore cutting‑edge techniques to push our AI capabilities into production. You will own end‑to‑end AI projects—from data prep to model deployment—collaborating with global teams and delivering measurable business impact.

• Identify and design end-to-end AI solutions for insurance use cases (e.g., pricing, fraud detection, underwriting)
• Develop machine learning models and optimization algorithms from data preprocessing to deployment
• Explain project outcomes and performance to business stakeholders
• Research and translate cutting‑edge ML/DL techniques into production-ready methods for the central library
• Support project setup, process analysis, business case development, and target solution design
• Contribute to cross‑BU AI initiatives and collaboration across international teams

Responsabilità

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and deductive skills
• Proficiency in Python; experience with R, Java, C++ is a plus
• Experience with DS libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Numpy, PyTorch, LightGBM, TensorFlow)
• Experience designing, developing, and evaluating statistical models or ML models (clustering, classification, regression, forecasting)
• Nice-to-have: Cloud development (AWS), ML Ops, containerization, multi‑GPU/multi‑node training, model optimization (pruning, quantization, distillation)
• Familiarity with DL frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch; Hugging Face, Detectron2, MMLab)
• Team-oriented, proactive, committed with result-oriented mindset
• Master's degree in scientific disciplines
• Good written and spoken English (B2)
• Basic IT architecture knowledge (nice-to-have)
