AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of teams of data center operation professionals
• Ensure effective and efficient management of day-to-day data center operations including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangements, and hardware logistics
• Learn quickly or act as the subject matter expert across all aspects of data center operations
• Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met
• Inspire and guide improvements in team processes, technology innovation, and automation
• Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
• Manage and improve workflows and throughput for data center operations
• Maintain a strong focus on the quality and quantity of services provided and continuously strive to improve customer experience

Qualifications

Basic

• Minimum 10 years of people management experience with direct reports as their performance manager
• In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem and incident management
• Literacy in security and customer data protection
• Demonstrated communication skills in presentation, open discussion, and team coaching
• Fluent verbal and written proficiency in Chinese and English
• Financial understanding of annual budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts
• Project management skill

Preferred

• Knowledge of data center MEP infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management
• In-depth knowledge of data center operations, processes and continuous improvement
• Experience in data center safety and security measures
• Knowledge of data center server capacity planning
• Data mining/analysis skills
• ITIL Foundation, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma and/or risk-related certifications
• Data center related certifications - CDCP/SE, CDCMP/TP; Linux certification and/or administration experience
