Position
We are currently looking for a Demand Planner to join the Demand Planning Team based in Asolo. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building, leading and optimising the demand planning process for one or more business lines, developing accurate demand forecasts to support supply chain, production, and inventory planning. This role works cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align demand plans with business objectives and ensure optimal product availability while minimizing inventory risks, to meet customers' demand.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage 6–12 month rolling forecasts across all product categories, including special editions, OEM lines and collections.
- Consolidate input from sales, markets and key accounts to capture trends, upcoming launches and campaigns.
- Analyse historical sales as well as market trends to refine forecast accuracy, identify deviations and propose alternative solutions.
- Contribute to new‑product introduction checkpoints such as tracking go‑live dates and sample availability.
- Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g. Forecast Error, Bias) and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare demand scenarios.
- Work closely with Supply Planning, Procurement and Operations to ensure demand plans are feasible and aligned with supply constraints.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to demand changes and proactively communicate them to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within a Sporting Goods Manufacturing and/or Textile Manufacturing company.
- Excellent skills in data analysis, KPI definition, trend analysis and root‑cause investigation.
- In‑depth knowledge of planning principles, forecasting techniques, production scheduling and phase‑in/phase‑out management.
- Previous experience with ERP systems, SO99+, AS400, QlikView/Qlik Sense BI and advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic macros).
- Fluency in English – comfortable working in a fully English‑speaking environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, business acumen, solid collaboration skills, top time management and prioritisation, and the ability to adapt to a fast‑moving and ever‑changing environment.
