Demand Planning Platform Intern

We are looking for a person who will join Moleskine as a Demand Planning Platform Intern.

The position is based in Milan.

Scope of the role

The person that will join our team will support the transformation of the current demand planning processes to a fully automated system using SO99+. This includes optimizing forecast accuracy, designing a forecast methodology based on different seasonality/products/customers, collaborating with key business functions such as Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, IT functions and external stakeholders, and contributing to building a strong forecast culture within the organization.

Main activities:

The intern will receive an initial training on SO99+ platform functionality and core functions, with a focus on demand modeling.

•Assist in the design and implementation of demand forecast workflows in SO99+;

•Support in analysing historical demand data and contribute to statistical model tuning;

•Participate in data validation and data hygiene activities to ensure SO99+ forecast quality;

•Assist in monitoring and optimizing SO99+ forecast performance;

•Contribute to internal documentation and training materials related to the forecasting process;

•Work with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain and IT) to understand forecasting requirements and constraints;

•Help drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

•Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Management, Engineering, Statistics, Economic Data Science, or related field.

•Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

•Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools), PowerPoint and Word.

•Familiarity with forecasting/statistical analysis methods.

•Knowledge of planning software (prior experience with SO99+ is a plus).

Nice to have:

•Prior experience with SO99+ or other demand planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, etc.).

•Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

•Basic knowledge of programming or data analysis languages (e.g., Python, R).

Training Objectives:

The intern should be able to grasp by the end of the internship the following objectives:

•Understand and navigate the core functionalities of SO99+ in relation to demand planning;

•Design and document demand planning workflows;

•Analyse forecast outputs and contribute to optimization;

•Gain practical experience in transitioning a manual process to an automated system;

•Develop a solid understanding of end-to-end demand planning processes within a global organization.
