Mission
He is assigned to a Design HSE Team within a project and is in charge of any Design HSE related activities assigned to him by the Design HSE Manager/Leader, guaranteeing the quality and the project schedule. He responds to the Design HSE Manager/Leader for the peculiarities of the project and the quality of the deliverables.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
During the execution of a project, the duties of the Design HSE Engineer are:
- To develop the engineering activities of the Design HSE discipline, guaranteeing the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions.
- To perform specific tasks or portions of HSE Studies (such as HAZOP, SIL Classification, QRA, RAM etc.) and of other HSE related activities at Design stage, as identified in the Project Design HSE Plan (such as HSE Design Reviews, PSSR’s etc.)
- To interact with the other Discipline Engineers for the topics of his competence.
As a member of department, the duties of the Design HSE Engineer are:
- To provide feedback to the Process, DHSE &PID Group Leader, concerning problems arising from application of standard work methodologies, to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of the Department.
- To keep himself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of the engineering sector for process plants.
- Knowledge of fire protection and risk analysis for process plants.
- Familiarity with standards (API, NFPA, UNI).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Preferably familiar with Phast/Pipenet software.
Required skills:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in process plant engineering related to fire protection and safety studies.
- Motivation and interest in deepening technical aspects.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
- Good English language skills.
