Design Manager (Data Center) - Italy (Milan)

A well-established engineering consulting firm is looking for a Design Manager for a Data Center project in the Milan area. This will be a 12 month project and would see you being responsible for the technical coordination of an interdisciplinary design team
Responsibilities will include:
Management of coordination activities in a BIM environment, formulating inputs and observations Verification of the qualitative and quantitative technical contents of the design in relation to the project requirements in the various phases of work Verification of the work carried out by external consultants Coordination of permitting activities and specialist consultancy to obtain building permits Preparation of summary reports relating to the various project phases for the company management Management and monitoring of planning, verification, and control of the execution times Collaboration with field staff and / or with departmental colleagues to anticipate and resolve projects-related problems Collaboration with managers of various disciplines to maintain a strong team, cultivating the relationships between each specialist group
Candidate profile:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role Strong command of English (B2/C1 level) and a good working knowledge of Italian (B1/B2 level). Good knowledge xpavfwm of single text of the legislative and regulatory provisions on construction in Italy, AutoCAD, Revit (Autodesk) and ACC work platform Knowledge and experience in MEP and firefighting disciplines will be considered a plus Proven construction management experience in Data Center will be considered a plus Good knowledge and experience with project management procedures Regular on-site presence is required; projects are located inthe Milan metropolitan area
