Job Title: Destination Manager – Southern Europe
Location: Milan, HQ (Hybrid)
Type of Contract: Permanent Contract, full time
Salary Range: €35,000 - €50,000 (determined by experience and seniority) + bonus
Responsibilities
- Destination and partner management:
- Define the optimal product mix for assigned destinations, determining the right number of itineraries to maximize conversion rates.
- Develop a compelling product offering and manage supply and inventory across a wide portfolio of partners, including DMCs, direct contracts, and external travel producers.
- Contract and secure the best terms, rates, and inventory for partners, improving product margins and working with Sales Managers to meet commercial performance targets.
- Identify opportunities to maximize each partner’s performance by monitoring results and proposing changes and improvements.
- Sourcel new partnerships with creative and professional suppliers, building rapport and assessing partners’ standards to support future success.
- Deliver top‑quality itineraries and implement improvements to ensure customer experience remains paramount.
- Report on product quality KPIs.
- Operations Management:
- Work with the WeRoad team to proactively solve problems on live tour operations, ensuring high quality of customer experience.
- Participate in the crisis management team, supporting emergency processes and developing strong procedures with partners.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a product manager or buyer, preferably in the Tour Operator/Travel environment, with experience in Southern Europe.
- Advanced commercial and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and Italian; Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent relationship builder, capable of fostering strong, profitable, long‑term partnerships.
- Analytical and numerical, with experience working with KPIs and exceeding expectations.
- Self‑motivated, organized, proactive, team player, hands‑on and results‑driven.
- Detail oriented and quality conscious.
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic startup scale‑up environment and ability to thrive under pressure.
- Comfortable serving as a main contact for crisis/emergencies.
