We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Architect Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for overseeing the application architectures of digital channels in the gaming market, ensuring the effective integration of technological solutions into current architectures. They will research and implement innovative technologies to enhance the digital experience, adhering to business, technical, and security requirements, architectural standards, and the strategic guidelines of the group.
Responsibilities

• Digital Team Management: Lead a team of application architects focused on developing and evolving the architecture of the company's digital channels.
• Architectural Design: Drive the architectural design for new cloud-based and on-premises digital projects based on business requirements.
• Integration Architecture: Define integration architecture within the IGT technical ecosystem and with third-party solutions and products.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with all project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Innovation and Vision: Suggest alternative solutions, demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset, and actively engage in the discovery phase of projects.
• Technical Documentation: Produce and collect comprehensive technical documentation for IGT solutions.
  

REquirements

• Strong experience in managing application architecture and team for digital(online) channel mainly in gaming and/or digital payment context.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and tools (e.g., TOGAF, Archimate).
• Ability to define and evolve application architecture aligned with digital channel strategy, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with high availability, performance optimization, and real-time system integration.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, caching strategies, and content delivery networks to support high-traffic environments.
• Expertise in designing scalable, secure web applications and digital platforms, including CRM platforms and integrations with web portals, mobile apps, and data analytics.
• Proficient in CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Liferay DXP, Contentful).
• Strong knowledge of API design (REST), microservices, and integrations with third-party services.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, SAML, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and integration with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, Okta).
• Familiarity with networking concepts including firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and secure data zones.
• Familiarity with database architecture and design, including relational database (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL systems (e.g. MongoDB, Redis), with a focus on performance, scalability, and data integrity within high-volume transactional environments like gaming and lottery platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices, data privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Experience with application lifecycle management and architecture governance, including the ability to create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and standards.
• Self-motivated initiator, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision and shifting focus as required.
  

Professional Experience / Seniority

• 10 years (At least 3 years in digital application design and architecture, including team management).
• Preferably with a background in digital solutions relevant to gaming, lottery, or payment platforms.
  

Qualifications

• Preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
