As a protagonist in the main strategic programs at a global level, it is a technological and industrial partner of Governments, Defense Administrations, Institutions and companies.Within the Engineering Airborne Business Unit of the Electronics Division, we are looking for a Hardware Designer for our Genoa - Puccini office.Within the scope of safety critical and navigation systems projects for avionics equipment, the person will be responsible for the following activities:* Drafting of technical specifications and project documentation;
* Hardware design withdrafting of electrical schematics and selection of electronic components;
* Firmware design using HDL/HLS languages, with a model-based approach for signal processing applications;
* Verification and archiving of documentation;
* Final design testing;
* Management of related activities, in an Integrated Project Team, as project manager.**Educational qualifications:*** Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Physics**Seniority:*** Junior: 1-3 years of experience;
* Expert: 3-5 years of experience;
* Senior: 5-10 years of experience.**Technical knowledge and skills:*** Competence in the design of digital electronic boards with microcontrollers, FPGAs, DSPs and SoCs;
* Knowledge of main digital electronic components (memories, A/D and D/A converters, communication interfaces, clocking);
* Knowledge of main communication protocols: SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS;
* Drawing of electrical schematics with ECAD software;
* Definition of electrical and thermal constraints for high-performance PCB design;
* Knowledge of standard HW development cycles;
* Knowledge of major development tools for programmable components.The following skills are also required:* Requirements analysis;
* Drafting of HW specifications;
* Verification and Validation of the developed board/FPGA;
* Creation of all documentation associated with the hardware development cycle;
* Drafting of design documentation;
* Drafting of associated documentation according to company regulations or international guidelines.**Behavioral competencies:*** Attention to detail;

* Flexibility.**Language skills:*** Good knowledge of English (B2).**IT skills:*** Document management tools through the MS Office suite;

* FPGA development toolchain;
* Circuit simulation software (PSPice, LTSpice, etc.);
* Scripting languages;
* Modeling tools (Model Driven Engineering): Mathlab and Simulink;
