Position Overview
TheDirectorMarket Access will beresponsible forleading reimbursement & HTA submissionsacrosstarget markets inEMEA.The role spans Evidence, Value and Access domains and will cover a diverse set of challenges and processes acrossvariousgeographies.This individual will work closely with the GlobalMarketAccess team & external consultants,making use of clinicaldata and economic models, to establish appropriatejustifications for reimbursement and coverage.This is expected toinclude usingcosteffectivenessmodelsand value dossiersfor reimbursementapplicationsand product positioning.As part of this effort, thepreparingand updating ofnational reimbursement roadmaps and HTA submission filesfor Shockwave products, services,and industry trendswill be critical.In addition,ensuring robust health economic data analyses as it relates to theEMEA regionwill be very important in advancing this novel new therapy.The role will also incorporatecommunication to and with third party payers, government entities and other market access partnersand trade associations.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
Responsibility for the reimbursement submissions strategy and executionacrossmultiple/various countries in the region
Responsibility forthedevelopmentof health cost economic analysis tools (spreadsheets and economic models) forShockwave Medical partners and internal organization utilizing third party modelling consulting expertise as required
Managing updates tothe core value dossiers across the EMEA region for Shockwave products
Foster a close and effective working relationship across all relevant departments and teams, especially sales & marketing, regulatory and clinical/scientific affairs
Facilitate Key Opinion Leader (KOL)and Clinical Societyconversationsas required
Create and sustainAdvisoryBoards andExpertWorkingGroups to drive market access objectives in countries across Europe
Identify opportunities and threats from shifts in policy landscape, health technology assessments orother value assessments across Europe
Responsibility for representing Shockwave at national-level trade associations in Europe and highlighting key developments which could impact the market
Responsibility for engagement with HTA processes involving Shockwave products and services in Europe and managing submissions & consultation processes, including clinician and patient feedback
Responsibility for driving updates to country-level position statements and guidelines to positively include Shockwave products and services
Keep up to date on clinical trials, bothinvestigatorinitiated and external studies, that can be used toimproveclinical and health economic value messaging for Shockwave Medicalproducts or categories
Prepare and update Market Access presentations for use byShockwave Medical partners and internal organization
Oversee and/or assist in the writing of articles and preparation of materials to be used professionally by Shockwave
This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned by theSeniorDirectorMarketAccess
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has supervisory responsibilities for 4 Senior Managers across the EMEA region

Education
Minimum of a Master’s Degreerequired. Master’s (MA; MSc; MPH, MBA) in relevant field (HealthEconomics,HealthPolicy,PublicHealth,Business) is required.
Experience
Minimum of 10+ years relatedmedical device industryexperience and/ortraining;or equivalent combination of education andmarketaccessexperience.
Experience with HTA submissions and reimbursement applicationsin larger European marketsis required.
Sales or marketing experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device company is a plusalthough not essential.
Disease state (cardiovascular) and related economicmodellinginsight is desired.

Travel
It is anticipated thatthis role will require travel around the EMEA region ~50% of the time,with occasionaltrans-Atlantictravelin addition to regional travel commitments.
