Job Description:

Title: Director of Business Development

Planet Pharma, in partnership with a leading global full-service CRO, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Business Development to join their team in Vercelli.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in Italy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through regular in-person engagement.
  • Understand clients’ challenges and structures to develop effective account strategies.
  • Contribute to refining the company's business development strategy, including target markets, sales efficiency, and conversion rates.
  • Drive revenue growth by consistently exceeding sales targets aligned with company objectives.

Main Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in sales and account management within full-service CRO sales.
  • Strong connections with decision-makers in the life sciences sector.
  • Proven ability to engage with and influence senior executives and C-suite leaders.
  • Successful track record in negotiating and closing complex deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to identify client challenges and deliver strategic solutions promptly.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple sales stages simultaneously.
  • Degree (BA, MBA, or equivalent) or relevant experience.
