You are the master of the deal. You are the driving force behind Mama’s growth in Rome. As our Sales Director, you lead the commercial strategy, build powerful partnerships, and ensure Mama Shelter Roma is always top of mind, fully booked, and impossible to resist. From corporate deals to leisure business, MICE and group bookings to long‑term partnerships, you turn opportunities into results while spreading Mama’s energy wherever you go.

You are also a true ambassador of the Mama brand, embodying our spirit: genuine, kind, positive, and human—creating meaningful connections with guests, partners, and the entire Mama Family.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for

  • Revenue Generator: Drive top‑line revenue through strategic sales planning, proactive prospecting, and strong account management across all segments (Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Groups, B2C).
  • Market Strategist: Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals, local market trends, and competitive benchmarking in Rome and beyond.
  • Relationship Builder: Establish, develop, and grow a strong customer base while building long‑term partnerships with corporate clients, agencies, travel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Pipeline Master: Manage the sales pipeline, identify new business opportunities, and ensure consistent conversion and growth across all markets.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Mama Shelter Roma at networking events, sales missions, trade shows, and client meetings—locally and internationally—bringing our personality everywhere.
  • Team Leader: Lead, coach, and inspire the Sales, Revenue, Reservations, and Groups & Events teams to exceed targets and work collaboratively.
  • Collaboration Champion: Work closely with Marketing, PR agencies, Revenue Management, Operations, and HQ teams (Mama Shelter, Ennismore, Accor) to maximize visibility and sales opportunities.
  • Performance Analyst: Monitor KPIs, analyze sales figures, manage reporting, and ensure accurate tracking of pricing, activities, and performance.
  • Negotiation Expert: Negotiate contracts and agreements that deliver value while protecting Mama’s commercial interests.
  • Opportunity Hunter: Identify emerging markets, segments, and partnerships while strengthening Mama Shelter Roma’s positioning in all distribution channels.
  • On‑the‑Ground Driver: Actively prospect new clients, conduct site inspections, organize Fam Trips and client events, and personally drive business development on property.
  • Financial Steward: Manage budgets, forecasts, and sales expenses while ensuring alignment with financial targets set by the GM and Finance team.

  • Strong experience in hospitality sales leadership.
  • Solid understanding of the Roman and international market.
  • Natural dealmaker who thrives on building relationships and closing business.
  • Strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Confident managing multiple teams and priorities (Sales, Revenue, Reservations, Events).
  • Results‑driven and motivated by targets and achievements.
  • Inspires teams with energy, positivity, and clear direction.
  • Comfortable presenting, networking, and representing the brand externally.
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and not afraid to pick up the phone or be on the field.
  • Collaborates easily across departments and with international teams.
  • Remains calm under pressure and adapts quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Organized, analytical, and confident working with reporting tools and systems.
  • Respects confidentiality and maintains strong professional integrity.

Your little extras

  • Pre‑opening or lifestyle hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, leisure, MICE, and group segments.
  • Experience with PMS, CRS, RMS, and GDS systems.
  • Experience working with international markets.
  • Combines commercial sharpness with Mama’s fun personality.
  • Enjoys networking as much as celebrating team wins.
