The Global Category Director – Energy is responsible for defining and executing the global energy procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effective, sustainable, and risk-averse sourcing solutions. With a strategic spend of approximately 150 million Euro, the role is crucial in managing supplier relationships, driving market insights, leading hedging and green initiatives, and supporting Sibelco’s sustainability goals.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term energy category strategies in line with business goals.
- Lead strategic sourcing projects and ensure measurable savings while maintaining vendor service and product quality.
- Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and set preferred supplier frameworks globally.
- Ensure the obtention of all eligible energy subsidies and other financial upsides.
- Jointly drive energy consumption optimization projects with the operations.
