The Supplier Quality Specialist evaluates supplier competencies, tooling, equipment, facilities, industrial processes and software development process. He/She will highlight supplier weaknesses and then identify, evaluate and implement recommendations to improve supplier systems, products and processes.
The candidate will manage directly a defined panel of Suppliers and the company expect from him/her a deep knowledge in industrial design/production processes, solid experience in using industrial quality tools such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), international standards, international Agency standards (ISO).
Support the global product development process for new products and ensure that suppliers meet Iveco Group requirements, acting with Procurement, Technology & Digital and platform about sourcing strategies and their implementation process definition, particularly on initial assessment (PSA Potential Supplier Assessment) and ensure that suppliers meet Iveco Group requirements for APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
Support current product quality management activities, both at 0km and in field.
Assure proper non-conformity containment tools application as CSL1/2/3 (Containment Shipping Level) and irreversible corrective actions to achieve stable supplier conformity.
Grant extensive and deep usage of problem solving techniques at suppliers (8D, Ishikawa, pareto diagram etc.).
Perform at supplier Program Reviews, Process Audits and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
Lead technical evaluation at supplier premises, both for new product and in case of current production needs
Support suppliers and Technology & Digital / Quality team in developing technical solutions to fix quality/product issues in field and/or during development process
Support Technology & Digital and Procurement in defining and developing new technology and support Suppliers during industrialization phases
Bachelor degree. Preferred: Electrical Engineering (Electronics)
Fluent English (both spoken and written)
French language knowledge will be an considered a plus
Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product validation, Process Quality
General knowledge of key industrial manufacturing processes
Solid knowledge of related quality tools such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PA/PSA, (Process audit/ Potential Supplier Assessment), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), etc., Knowledge of measurement systems and control systems design
Availability to travel on regular basis
On the job experience in designing, manufacturing, quality related to the production of Electrical/Electronic systems
Deep knowledge of main Electronic components, production technologies such as PCB related technologies and testing techniques (ICT, AOI…)
Knowledge of software development and de-bugging techniques applied to Electronic systems
Strongly self-motivated, determined and proactive, result driven
