EIB Trainee - Human Resources Directorate - Employee Relations - Procedures Unit

This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi‑cultural environment.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2026). Possible extension up to 6 months if required by the University.
Eligibility: Only applications from nationals of the Member States of the European Union, and citizens from countries that have been officially granted candidate status to join the EU, are considered. Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the duration of the traineeship will not be considered. Please limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications; only the first three submissions will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist legal research on case‑law for previous and ongoing cases and provide legal analysis.
- Prepare reports, draft internal notes and other specific assignments as required.
- Prepare new templates (in French and English) for different administrative procedures used by the legal team, and review and update existing templates.
- Follow up on various points related to data protection on behalf of the Data Protection Liaison Officer to ensure proper implementation of DPO/EDPS recommendations, data‑subject requests and data.
Academic Qualifications and Professional Skills
- Final year of studies or University degree in Law.
- Good knowledge of Labour and/or European Union Law.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and spoken English; good knowledge of French would be an advantage.
