TGS International Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join an international engineering and technology organisation supporting the design and delivery of complex Data Centre and High-Tech Facility projects.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to procurement support, construction and commissioning.

The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will: Develop electrical system designs for Data Centre and high-tech facility projects. Prepare electrical layouts, calculations and cost estimates. Produce technical drawings, specifications, functional descriptions and Bills of Quantities. Design electrical infrastructure in line with project requirements, regulations and engineering best practice. Review engineering documentation for quality, accuracy and technical compliance. Support electrical projects from concept design through construction and commissioning. Coordinate electrical design activities with project management and other engineering disciplines. Support procurement by preparing technical documentation and responding to contractor queries. Provide installation, testing and commissioning support. Participate in

Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

and

Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) . Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, Structural, Architectural and BIM teams. Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and external engineering partners. Ensure designs comply with Italian regulations and relevant international engineering standards. Support HSE requirements and promote engineering best practice.

Technical Experience Experience across some or all of the following: LV Electrical Systems MV Electrical Systems Power Distribution Systems Lighting & Emergency Lighting Cable Routing & Containment Earthing & Lightning Protection Electrical Calculations Technical Specifications Bills of Quantities Electrical Design Documentation FAT & SAT Installation & Commissioning Support

Experience within

Data Centres, Mission Critical, High-Tech Manufacturing, Industrial, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or R&D environments

would be advantageous.

What We're Looking For Degree or technical qualification in

Electrical Engineering

or a related discipline. Experience designing, planning, constructing, maintaining or commissioning electrical systems within industrial or high-tech environments. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards and regulations. Experience producing electrical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation. Familiarity with electrical design and analysis software. Understanding of local construction materials and labour costs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard engineering software. Fluent Italian and professional working English. Willingness to travel to client offices, suppliers and project sites when required.

Desirable Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience. Experience with

ETAP, Power Factory, Easypower, Ampere Professional

or similar. Experience with

Dialux

or other lighting calculation software. Multidisciplinary engineering experience. BIM and digital engineering experience. International engineering project experience.
