Electrical Engineer- Grid Connection

The Sr. Grid Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all stages of HV grid connection design for renewable energy projects in Italy.

Key Responsibilities

HV Grid Connection Design

• Manage ICX (Interconnection) process.
• Supervise and optimize conceptual, schematic, and detailed HV grid designs.
• Prepare calculations, technical specifications, and drawings.

Project Budgeting & Planning

• Conduct quantity surveys.
• Develop the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for designs.

Technical Support

• Provide engineering input for site evaluations and characterizations.

Internal & External Coordination

• Coordinate with internal departments: Site & Permitting, Procurement, O&M.
• Collaborate with external consultants to secure ICX permits and achieve construction and energization milestones.

Stakeholder Management

Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with:

• Clients
• Suppliers
• Consultants
• Utilities (ENEL, TERNA)
• Regulatory authorities

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
• Master’s degree in Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy, or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 8 years in MV/HV electromechanical design (substations and UG/OH lines)
• At least 5 years in HV solution design and interconnection processes (aligned with Italian standards and ENEL/TERNA procedures)

Languages

• Proficiency in English and Italian (required)
• Spanish (desirable)

Technical Skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• ETAP simulation software (desirable)
