Accountabilities
Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components
Analyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers
Prepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.)
Perform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency
Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers
Attend at system stand‑alone type test and review type test reports
Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases
Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
Prepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration
Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics
Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)
Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase
Required Skills / Knowledge
Experience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments
Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards
Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
Knowledge of traction systems and power converters
Knowledge of RAMS principles and processes
Good knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines
Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
Good knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred)
Good knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit breakers, cables, connectors, etc.)
Good knowledge of electrical schematics design
Good knowledge of electrical machine design principles
Good knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor‑CAD)
Good knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis
Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced, international and multicultural environment
Strong planning and organizational skills, alongside team‑working and problem‑solving mindset
Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)
Ability to work within project teams under minimum supervision
Availability for occasional short‑term national and international business trips
Desired Skills / Knowledge
Fast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments
Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Education / Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred).
Languages Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).
