About the Role

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team working on cutting-edge industrial automation projects.

You will be based at our Bologna site, supporting the design, development, and commissioning of electrical systems for complex automated machines and transport systems, working closely with experienced engineers.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and updating electrical schematics using CAD tools (EPLAN or equivalent).
  • Designing routing and layouts using 2D/3D CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor).
  • Assisting in the selection of electrical components (e.g., drives, PLC I/O modules, safety devices, and sensors).
  • Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and on‑site commissioning activities.
  • Collaborating with software and mechanical engineering teams for system integration.

What You Need to be Successful

  • Ongoing or completed studies in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, or a related technical field).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design principles, safety regulations, PLC architecture and industrial communication networks.
  • Familiarity with electrical CAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD, Inventor) is considered a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and improve, with good communication skills and the ability to work both indipendently and in a team.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
