Experteer Overview

As Electrification Research Manager, you will lead a global, high‑impact portfolio spanning core electrification technologies to shape ABB’s technology roadmap. You’ll coordinate worldwide resources, foster innovation with academia and industry partners, and drive transfer of technology and knowledge across centers. You align research with business lines and CTO strategy while managing budgets, IP, and strategic partnerships. This role offers influence over technology direction and collaboration across global centers to accelerate ABB’s mission of a cleaner, smarter future.

• Plan and monitor research budgets and financial performance


• Define resource and skills plans with local CRCs for global staffing

Responsabilità

• 15+ years in Research or R&D in electrical distribution or related industries


• Master in Engineering (MS) required; PhD preferred


• Familiar with electrical systems, power electronics, switching & protection, intelligent systems


• Innovative thought leader; outstanding communicator


• Ability to connect research outcomes with division strategy


• Effective project portfolio management and delivery


• Experience coordinating cross‑functional, global teams
