EMEA Water Strategist

Experteer Overview

In this role you will drive ERM's water resilience ambitions in EMEA, shaping high-impact commercial campaigns and integrated solutions such as WaaS and Water Credits. You’ll lead multi-country pursuits, align advisory work with CSRD and TNFD, and build partnerships across the water value chain. The role combines strategic growth, client advisory, and market shaping to position ERM as a leader in water resilience. This is a high-visibility, transformative opportunity to scale a new capability area across regions and sectors.

• Design and execute regional commercial campaigns to build pipeline and win strategic accounts before FY27
• Develop tailored water propositions for priority sectors (energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage) and financial institutions
• Coordinate multi-country pursuit teams for large, transformational opportunities
• Lead development of advanced water resilience strategies aligned with CSRD, TNFD, and water stewardship frameworks
• Integrate water risk into finance models, supporting blended finance and sustainability-linked financial products
• Advise clients on emerging water market mechanisms, regulatory drivers, and innovation pathways
• Identify and consolidate partnerships to support WaaS and Water Credit solutions, including with engineering firms and technology partners
• Shape collaboration models to position ERM as an orchestrator across the water value chain
• Drive cross-sell by linking water resilience to climate, biodiversity outcomes and broader sustainability roadmaps
• Represent ERM at industry events and publish insights to strengthen the water resilience agenda in EMEA

Responsabilità

• 10+ years in sustainability consulting, corporate strategy, or water stewardship
• Proven track record in commercial development, strategic program design, and cross-sector partnerships
• Strong understanding of green/blue bonds, blended finance, and water-related investment models
• Familiarity with water-intensive industrial value chains; PFAS/APIs experience is a plus
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value for executives and investors
• Strategic mindset capable of navigating multi-country, multi-stakeholder contexts
