Internship Overview
Join our innovative Internship Program. The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or recently graduated to gain hands‑on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships give you first‑hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading‑edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, including monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance processes, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications.
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Learning and applying principles of lean manufacturing to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
- Preparing reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
- Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
- Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, other STEM‑related fields, or Supply Chain (HSE, Quality, Manufacturing).
- Maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 or equivalent in your country).
- Fluent in oral and written English with effective communication skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the country you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction.
