Energy and fuel consumption test engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Planning, coordination and execution of fuel and energy consumption test activities including timelines and vehicle and equipment management
ESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES
- Development and validation of test cases derived from EU regulatory frameworks (VerificationTestingProcedure, OnBoardFuelConsumptionMonitoring) as well as performance targets
- Data recording, post processing and analysis (e.g. GIN configurator, CAN Signal definition)
- Improvement of methodology. For example by investigation of influencing factors (Weather, Road Conditions, Measurement errors, etc.)
- Further development of test routes, missions and test tracks (Highway, Urban, City)
- Breakdown of results and identification of potentials for improvements on vehicle, system and component level
- Reporting of results in MBSE organization
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Automotive, Mechatronic, Electronic or System Engineering
- Experience: 3 years minimum
- Fluent English and Italian, written and spoken, German is a plus
- Experience with CAN/LIN data acquisition and logging (e.g. Vector tools)
- Overall Truck System understanding with focus on Fuel Consumption influences
- Knowledge of data mining / data post processing based on macros and scripts is a plus
- Certified High Voltage competence Level 2
