Energy Champion – Energy Intensive Industry

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Energy Champion to support and drive energy efficiency initiatives within our energy-intensive industrial operations. The ideal candidate is an engineer with proven experience in energy optimization, a strong passion for energy, and the ability to deliver measurable improvements in energy performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and implement energy efficiency opportunities across production processes and utilities.
• Monitor energy consumption KPIs and develop reporting dashboards to track performance.
• Lead energy-saving projects from feasibility study to execution, ensuring ROI targets are achieved.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of Energy Management Systems (e.G., ISO 50001).
• Conduct energy audits and propose actionable improvement plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, engineering) to optimize energy use.
• Drive cultural change by promoting awareness and best practices in energy efficiency across the organization.
• Stay updated on new technologies, incentives, and regulations related to energy management.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or industrial optimization .
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with energy monitoring systems and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and utilities (e.G., compressed air, steam, HVAC, electrical systems).
• Experience with energy audits and efficiency projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Salary range € 40.000 - 50.000
