Exide is looking for an Engineer & MES Specialist for the Italian plant. MES is the Manufacturing Execution System of the production lines, he/she will be responsible to coordinate the implementation of MES system in Romano plant. The MES Specialist will participate in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of MES system.

• Handling of introduction of MES changes at local level agreed with the central function, training of production team by teaching them how to use the software and also explaining to them the implemented changes;
• Updating data in the MES such as new product data (technical pb, lines, cycle time), quality control and limits, work orders/data cleaning, management of new users, new production tools;
• Managing Track and Trace follow-up activities after project SOP, being the point of reference for all problems that can be managed independently or with IT support;
• Reporting works such as data analysis and production support;
• MES support for Industry 4.0 implementation
• Management of external companies for software development and PLC maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Mechanic or equivalent), or degree as IT expert/Electro-technical expert;
• Previous experience in similar role, in charge of Systems implementation and follow-up;
• Experience in industrial environment (battery field is not mandatory but he/she has to be someone experienced in plant/operations);
• Know-how in software and embedded software development;
• Proficiency in MS Office;
• English spoken and written (B2);
• Ability to work in a team, goal orientation and good communication skills.
