This role requires specific experience of attachment systems for construction machinery applications. More specifically, a strong understanding and experience of the application of such attachment systems for excavators or wheeled loader machines.

This company is a global OEM within the construction machinery industry and is expanding its European product line and commercial capabilities.

The role: Product Manager / Systems Engineer

• The company is looking for somebody that can work with customers or through customer teams to understand requirements specifically for the application of attachments for excavators and / or wheeled loaders.
• This product manager / systems engineer will be instrumental in guiding European and Asian product development teams in the design and development of attachments to meet these applications and enhance the company's product portfolio.
• The role requires a balance of systems level technical capability (broad understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and control systems) and good commercial and communication skills.

The position could suit an engineer (e.g. systems engineer, mechatronics engineer, hydraulics or control engineer) or a product manager, that has worked within the attachments industry aligned to excavator or wheeled loader applications.

Skills / Requirements: Product Manager / Systems Engineer

• A degree or similar in an engineering subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics)
• At least 5 years of experience working within the development of attachments for excavators or wheeled loaders within the construction machinery or mining machinery market (for EU product markets)
• Excellent communication skills (English primarily) – able to work directly with customers and design engineering, R&D teams
• Happy to travel to meet customers, engineering teams and represent the company at trade exhibitions
• Excellent systems engineering understanding with the ability to develop requirements into technical specifications for engineering design teams
• Competent with mechanical, hydraulic and ideally electrical / control fundamentals (for the development of attachment interfaces, mounting brackets, controls and installation, etc)

Goal – to increase the company’s machine capabilities by enhancing the attachment applications for excavator and / or wheeled loader product lines for the European market.

This role will be based at the company’s facility near Bologna, Italy. For the right person, relocation and work visa support can be provided. Salary and package is negotiable but experience of attachments for excavator / wheeled loader machines is not – this is a vital requirement.
