Engineering Senior Specialist – Customer Application Engineering (Reciprocating Compressor Application)

Job Summary

This role is part of the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) team and focuses on leading technical proposals, defining project strategy, budgeting, negotiating with customers, and handing over technical contracts for Reciprocating Compressor applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of technical proposals for Reciprocating Compressor applications to maximize value for the customer.
• Define the technical strategy of the project, influencing the customer toward Baker Hughes solutions.
• Estimate and ensure the accuracy of the budget associated with the proposed solution.
• Prepare the most compelling technical proposal within the required timeline at first submission.
• Apply product and quality policies, address, and mitigate residual risk per Baker Hughes procedures.
• Lead technical negotiations, coordinate with supporting functions, and attend meetings and presentations with the customer.
• Hand over the technical contract to the execution team upon award in the smoothest way possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• At least five years of experience in Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Management, Customer Service, or an equivalent technical role.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work on stretched deadlines with flexible time management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Availability to travel on short notice.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Capability to work in a team and make independent decisions.
• Open-minded and willing to work in multicultural teams.
