An essential, autonomous position has arisen for an EPC Director to join an Independent Power Producer (IPP) as it launches its second Italian office, focusing on utility scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to establish the company’s presence in Italy, building the EPC function from the ground up, overseeing a growing pipeline, and playing a key role in opening a new local office.

Reporting into the CEO, this is a rare opportunity to influence technical delivery, operations, and long term organisational growth within a highly resourced and rapidly expanding international energy business.

The successful EPC Director will:

• Hold a degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience delivering large scale solar or storage projects.
• Bring proven experience in EPC leadership roles, ideally with knowledge of Italian permitting, HSE, and construction standards.
• Be confident in negotiating and managing EPC contracts, construction timelines, budgets, and technical risk.
• Demonstrate strong team building skills, with the capability to hire and lead technical staff as the office scales.
• Serve as the primary technical voice for project execution, managing contractors, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring delivery excellence.
