Role Description
The Event Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Venice at San Clemente Palace Venice. This role is responsible for generating event sales, managing client inquiries, and converting leads into confirmed bookings for private events, corporate meetings, and social functions. The Event Sales Manager collaborates with clients to understand event requirements, prepares proposals and contracts, and coordinates with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution. Daily tasks include managing event calendars, conducting site inspections, maintaining relationships with key accounts, monitoring revenue targets, and updating sales reports and CRM systems. The role also involves participation in sales activities such as networking, industry events, and promotional initiatives to drive brand visibility and business growth. Qualifications Strong event-focused skills, including Event Planning and Event Management, with experience delivering high-quality guest experiences for private and corporate events. Proven Sales capabilities, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport, present proposals, and maintain professional client relationships. Experience managing Private Events, such as weddings, celebrations, and exclusive gatherings, in a luxury hospitality or similar environment. Relevant background in hospitality, events, or tourism; previous experience in a hotel or resort setting is highly beneficial. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with CRM and booking systems, and comfortable using standard office software (e.g., MS Office, email, calendaring tools). Fluency in English; additional language skills, particularly Italian or other European languages, are an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Venice, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with event schedules. Knowledge in Opera Cloud.
