About the role

The Field Market Access Manager is a critical leadership position reporting directly to the Commercial Director. This role manages a team of two people to deliver access, reimbursement, pricing, and clinical initiatives. Responsibilities include developing and executing a local market access strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, engaging Key Opinion Leaders, and driving successful market access outcomes. The role requires frequent travel across Italy and a national field‑based presence.

You have a strategic mindset, exceptional cross‑functional collaboration skills, strong business acumen, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment. You navigate a matrix organization effectively and drive results through scientific and business strategies. Success will be measured by achieving market share targets, driving revenue growth, enhancing brand recognition, and ensuring successful market access and reimbursement outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the market access strategy for Ostomy Care BU in Italy at key accounts (local), regional and national levels.
  • Drive institutional affairs initiatives to nourish a strong contact network with key institutional players.
  • Develop and lead a value communication plan to drive debate with stakeholders, including real‑world evidence generation and pharmaco‑economic studies.
  • Engage KOLs through educational events, scientific discussions, and advisory boards.
  • Develop and implement clinical training activities to position Convatec as a reference in ostomy care education.
  • Monitor market access and health policy environments, identify trends, and disseminate strategic, operational, and financial implications.
  • Collaborate with Sales Regional Manager and Product Specialist to spot regional stakeholders and access opportunities in key accounts.
  • Lead efforts in shaping the local reimbursement and tender landscape, collaborating with internal teams to ensure market readiness.
  • Manage and support tenders at regional and local levels.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in market access, business development, institutional affairs, and/or health economics.
  • Solid understanding of market access processes and payer goals in Italy.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent teamwork and networking skills.
  • Capability to build strong, credible relationships.
  • Deliver results with a sense of urgency on critical time‑dependent issues.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business, or a related field.

Languages

  • English: Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading.
  • Italian: Fluent.

Working Conditions

Field‑based role with 60% travel. Ideal candidates are based in Rome or Milan.
