Field Service Engineer - Automation and Motion Control systems

We are looking for motivated and skilled Field Service Engineers to join the Service Execution team in Italy (locations depending on profile).

Your Challenge

• Installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of Automation and Motion Control systems, including PLCs, drives, and machine tools
• Execution of on‑site service activities at OEMs and end customers
• Configuration and tuning of drive systems (e.g. SINAMICS)
• PLC software activities using STEP 7 and TIA Portal
• Support to technical hotline and back‑office teams
• Participation in digitalization and modernization projects
• Technical coordination with internal departments (engineering, sales, project management)
• Documentation, reporting, and customer communication aligned with Siemens standards

What Makes You a Perfect Fit

• Degree in Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Experience (or strong motivation to grow) in technical customer service, field service, or project engineering
• Knowledge of:
  • Siemens PLCs (S7‑300 / S7‑1500, STEP 7, TIA Portal)
  • Drive technology (e.g. SINAMICS, Starter / StartDrive)
• Experience with CNC and/or Motion Control systems (e.g. SINUMERIK) is considered a plus
• Passion to never‑stop growing

• Proactive, structured, and solution‑oriented mindset
• Willingness to travel for on‑site activities
• Proficiency in English and Italian
