Finance & Accounting Manager

hlpy, born in 2020, is a tech-driven roadside assistance insurance start-up founded by visionaries who saw a gap in the market and redefined the industry with a cutting-edge digital solution.

What started as a bold idea in Italy quickly expanded to France and Spain, and as of September 2024, we are proud to announce our entry into Germany! This marks another milestone in our journey to becoming the go-to solution for modern roadside assistance across Europe— and beyond.

We operate on a B2B2C model, partnering with key players in the automotive world—insurance companies, car manufacturers, rental agencies, and mobility providers. Through our advanced digital platform, their customers can instantly request roadside assistance and replacement solutions in real-time, transforming the way help is delivered on the road.

The resource will be responsible for managing the company's accounting activities, ensuring full compliance with all civil, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.

What You will Do

• Ordinary accounting: customers (issuing active invoices and collections), vendors (recording accounts payable and payments), general ledger;
• Tax and social security obligations (VAT settlement, etc.);
• Treasury Management.

What We’re Looking For

• Master's Degree in Economics;
• At least 3 years' experience in an audit firm;
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken (you will be communicating across countries);
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines;
• Flexibility and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced environment;
• Solid knowledge of local accounting principles and VAT regulations;

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Previous experience in professional services, consulting/audit firms, or companies with structured accounting and tax processes
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Tech-savvy: confident with PC tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems (experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus)
• With strong leadership and people management skills, you will be leading a small team and helping them grow
